i thought the reason why he wore the costume was to attract all the attention of the enemy, leaving his “normal” fellow soldiers free from enemy fire? that makes way more sense and sounds alot better than some USO spiel.

James, don’t get me wrong I like the character Union Jack. Abilities wise, I don’t think he brings anything to the table that you don’t already have in Cap. He’s a grittier character than Cap and adds that international aspect that will be good for the movie. I have no problem with Union Jack being in the movie if they decide to add him. No Blazing Skull though. Hell, we have to draw a line somewhere….

James is referring to the Blazing Skull and yes the character looks a lot like the Ghost Rider.

RODNEY, check this out:

The Army will make Cap sing and dance, like do shows for the military- because they dont want him fighting in war (Hes the only of his kind and is TOO valuable) which is why they give him the RED/WHITE/BLUE costume… so he can do his act. He gets SICK of it and goes AWOL and fights. But then realizes hes a better leader when hes got his costume on, because the soldiers remember him from the heroic show as Captain America.

That sounds cool right? ^^^ and it explains why he wears such a weird costume. Which they didnt have to do in war
