Get him to the Greek Trailer Online

My favourite part of Forgetting Sarah Marshall was Russell Brand’s glorious rock star persona Adlous Snow. I just loved that guy to death. His best character by far in anything he has ever done.

So when they announced a Sarah Marshall spinoff flick revolving around Aldous, I was in. Awesomesauce.

But, my least favourite part of Forgetting Sarah Marshall was Jonah Hill. Totally useless character and my least favourite role by an actor I already have little patience for. So my parade got rained on when I found out the Aldous spinoff would also star Jonah Hill.

The trailer makes it look like its a hell of a lot more about Jonah Hill than Aldous, which is obviously discouraging for me.

I’m still on the fence here.

I hate that fat talentless bastard too. No idea why they give him so much movies.

Anyway, it’s just a trailer, but somehow looks OK.

  2. Janius says:

I was all ready to hate that, but for some reason, I didn’t. In spite of Jonah Hill, it doesn’t look too bad.

  3. Edward Potter says:

Whaat. You guys are crazy. Jonah Hill is awesome!

    • James(haz) says:

I agree! I had no idea so many people could agree someone so funny is not comical.

Jonah Hill was the best part of Sarah Marshal!

“Did you take a look at my demo?”

“Um, No- i cant. because im at my fucking JOB right now, so i cant buy any weed”

“It just went from 6 to midnight!”

      :::tears up:::
“im so sorry… i had no idea you were coming.. youre going to have to wait 5 minutes”
      :::weeps:::

  4. Corey says:

I’d rather see Jonah Hill than Michael Cera. And the reason Hill is in so many of these movies is because he helps write many of them

  5. David Lopan says:

Brand was good in Sarah Marshall…but guys…did you see his standup? That was so hard to get through.

  6. Edward Potter says:

It’s funny how Hill was the weirder guy than Brand in Sarah Marshall and now seems like he’s more normal than Brand.

  7. thematticus says:

    Jonah Hill > Russell Brand.

  8. Nacho says:

That trailer cracked me up, and I think Jonah Hill is pretty good.

    It takes all sorta!!

  9. 420BAND says:

Brand was funny in Sarah Marshall BUT haven’t laughed once at ANY of his other doings..seem’s like a 1 trick pony to me..

Jonah is a funny foulmouth ittle fucker but his routine is getting a little stale.

  10. GODFATHER says:

I’m iffy about Jonah Hill, but this actually looks funny. I also find it funny that the movie is titled Get Him To The Greek. Wonder how many people get the double entendre?

    • Rodney says:

Clearly I don’t. “The Greek” refers to the theater. I don’t see any other meaning for the title.

      • cloud720 says:

Yes the literal definition for Greek may be the theater, but if you weren’t so anal you might get the other meaning.

      • Rodney says:

I know that slang meaning of the word, but I dont see how in any way it applies to this film.

There is nothing here suggesting they mean “get him in the ass” as a double entendre. Now if one of the characters were gay, that would be a different story.

        Otherwise its just a stretch.

      • cloud720 says:

I think thats why they picked the title. Most people will think “get him in the ass” when they read the title. But thats not what the movie is about.

Remember the title “A Couple of Dicks”, its a movie about a couple of dictectives, but thats not the first thing you think when you see the title. Same thing here.

      • GODFATHER says:

If this is a continuation storyline from the characters in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall movie, then Jonah Hill’s character is the “gay” storyline I was implying. It’s hinted at in FSG, and this is his move into the “big time” by getting Aldius Snow (since he “knows him”) to the gig, is it not?

As for “Greek” meaning the implied theater, you are right in the fact that that’s where they’re trying to get Aldius’ character to go and perform, but you can’t be seriously thinking that there’s no hidden meaning to the gay storyline here. Several of the comments from Hill’s character towards Brand’s are totally meant to play, albeit subtly, gay references.

      • Rodney says:

Hill’s character in Sarah Marshall was not gay. His storyline was dumb, and his character was pointless, but he was not a homosexual or even implied. He was just a drooling fanboy.

      • GODFATHER says:

You’re mistaken there Rodney. It may not be blatantly obvious for Hill’s character to be gay, but who do you think he was referring to when he said “I just went from 6 to midnight”? There are other comments made that hint Hill’s character is more than “infatuated” with Brands’ character, but I don’t want to needlessly argue a point that’s really just futile at the end of the day.

The last mile up to the Greek Theatre is a one lane, speed humped asphalt road , with a limit of 15 mph. Nice and slow. When it rains the road is slippery due to the run-off from the hillside.

    Scream ,,,,,,ah!

    Awards are held there.
