Also, it would be hard to make a sequel, since the season 8 and 5 comics of buffy and angel (respectively) are canon and kind of mess up the two stories ever really coming together again. Also, if the comics were to be made into a movie, would be really hard for anyone but die hard fans to absorb, therefore it wouldn’t sell.

Of course she and the others would not go ahead without Joss – without him or his writing team onboard it would be stupid.

Make a new film version and star the cast carry on where Buffy and Angel left off and see how it goes.

To be honest it should wipe the floor with Twilights lame efforts.

Again Joss should write and direct – give the guy a break and some credit for gods sake.

Advertise HIS creations properly.

I know years ago we all were shocked to hear they would recast the original Trek series cast and set at academy –

But to try this with Buffy and NOT involve Joss Wedon is like making a Terminator film without James Cameron.

If in any doubts as to a Buffy / Angel series – call it SLAYERS and feature a different character from the Buffyverse each week killing vamp and meeting up with old cast along the way.

What, would there be a doppleganger cast? Lindsay Lohan as Buffy and Zack Efron as Xander Harris? I’m sorry but no matter who you have running around playing slayer it will just feel fake and corny.

It’s not that I wouldn’t love to breathe new life into the Buffyverse, but without the right people involved it will turn into a catastrophe- especially with all of the twilight tweens running around thinking vampires are abstinent and sparkle, the marketing alone will probably be a train wreck.
