As long as technology and emotions go hand in hand i'm ok with it. I like christmas storys and Zemeckis seems to be the one to bring them to life just as i imagine them. And the motioncapture always requires animators to tweek every facet of the performance. whats the point. just shoot it. leave cg features to likes of pixar and dreamworks and photorealistic effects work for live action compositing. this post will make no difference but its a pet peeve and i got ten minutes to bang my head against a wall. the technology keeps getting better but its the application that makes it worthwhile. lord of the rings is a simple example of how beowulf could have looked amazing but it didnt.
