Uwe Boll’s Far Cry Trailer Online

Uwe Boll has such potential to put out a major hit simply because the expectation with ANY film he does is that it will be garbage.
But living up to his stereotype of adapting video games and sucking at it, he brings us Far Cry:
I liked the game enough. It wasn’t “great” but it was interesting and satisfying in that “shoot the badguys just to watch them die” kind of way. But keeping up with expectations, this trailer is not impressing me at all and surely not making me want to see a Far Cry movie.

Why does he insist on creating bad movies from bad videogames?
At least it means he won’t be tarnishing Halo or Metal Gear Solid.
I know right. I think they need to get the Halo movie going. In 3 to 5 years I will care less if they do it now I would be excited but Bungie needs to milk their only cow so they can keep on living so while the games are a hit their will be no film :(
Far Cry was a bad game? And Dungeon Siege? And Alone In The Dark? House Of The Dead? Those are classic award-winning games. They’re not my favorites, but “bad” is totally stretching it.

Udo Kier…remember when you did films with merit like My Own Private Idaho, Shadow of the Vampire, and Dogville…does Boll’s movies make that much money to consider these roles paycheck roles?

I just want a list of names and addresses of the people who give UB money. Then I intend to tie them up and make them watch every single Uwe Boll film back to back until they promise never to give him money again.

Why even make this movie based on a licensed title. Rename this Action Commando and send it out direct to DVD.

Why does he keep getting the rights to make these movies????
Halo has the potential to be the only good video game movie.
Assassin’s Creed 1 & 2-as great as those games are, hollywood would probably mess up there as well.
