Thor Heads into Production in January

Looks like Thor is headed full steam ahead with plans to enter production in the early new year.

Screen Rant shares:

According to Production Weekly’s Twitter postings, the next Marvel Studios solo character film is nearing the start of principal photography and they’ve hammered down the shooting locations.

Filming on Marvel’s “Thor” is scheduled to begin in LA mid-January, then move to Santa Fe, New Mexico from March till late-April.

This means that we will likely get to see footage of Thor at ComicCon that I wont be going to next summer, and perhaps even a teaser poster or trailer.

The full cast isn’t fleshed out yet, but its pretty damned close. I am getting giddy.

    By the Hammer of Asgard, This is good news!

    Triple H or Gerard Butler for Thor!

    • Rodney says:

      Thor is already cast.

      However as much as I like Butler, I don’t think he would fit Thor.

      And Tripple H is not an actor. He shouldn’t get consideration for an actor’s job.

    ……Bloody Brilliant! Don’t you just love great film making, with brilliant casting with an incredible story….and a perfect Director!?

  4. 420BAND says:

    Who’s gonna be Thor?

    How bout Loki?

    • Rodney says:

      Chris Hemsworth as Thor
      * Tom Hiddleston as Loki
      * Natalie Portman as Jane Foster
      * Jamie Alexander as Sif
      * Colm Feore

      All reported on this site.

    I’m glad this movie is going to get made! I can only hope that it doesn’t end up sucking.
