Well this could go either way. Yeah, re-editing it could make a mediocre film better but a re-edit could also actually make a decent movie bad depending on how much creative input non-creatives (like suits) have in the process.

I read somewhere the opening shot of the original score had the song “Werewolf in London” sampled in a Kid Rock song none the less……… and the Suits took a shit!

Yeah, the last movie I remember them bringing in an emergency editor for was “G.I. Joe” and yes, Rodney may be right, “Wolverine” may have been worse originally, same with “G.I. Joe”, but they were both still the two most laughably shitty movies of the summer in my opinion (whoops forgot “Salvation” too)

The first trailer for “Wolfman” was pretty darn good, but the second trailer with it’s wannabe “Underworld” vibe, then dropping Elfman for the “Underworld” composer, and now calling in emergency editors has lowered my hopes almost completely.

Oh well, fingers crossed.

I just read the whole article and it’s freaking stupid. The way these dumbasses react just makes me wanna slam my head against the keyboard. This quote just says it all:

“Benicio Del Toro’s dream of playing The Wolf Man, his favorite movie as a child, has been ruined by Universal’s complete mis-handling of the project.”

Really? Since when do you know? You haven’t even seen the final cut of the film yet, so how is it ruined? Stupid assholes

Well, at least the trailer was open enough to be able to accommodate a different edit.

That’s a hell of a lot of visual effects work done already though – it’d be a shame to trash some of it or shell out for even more additional visual effects shots.
