How is it horrible? Do people have to watch a movie to be able to voice their own opinions? If you dont want to eat sushi because you think its gross should you eat it anyways to find out? Its not like if one person says this will suck then no ones gonna see the film. Hell many people say the Star Wars prequels suck but I seem to like them as much as the orginals.

I presume that his deductive reasoning will be illustrated in the film in context to the scene.

Out of context his reasoning and brilliant mind would probably look random and take away from his brilliance.

What I recall from previous encounters with Sherlocks Holmes was his “powers of observation”. In these trailers, I’m seeing his “powers of boxing”, “powers of witty one liners”, and “powers of shooting guns and blowing things up”. Seems like a fun movie, but certainly nothing about the trailer except the names evokes Sherlock Holmes.

The problem is, what made Holmes the man he was, was his ability to stay off of women…..for me, that made him GOD (come on, you let your boners do the talking for you in this trailer)…..

I can’t understand why McAdams–while gorgeously hot–has to resort to mere titillation, even though the blame lies squarely on Ritchie…..it’s insane, she plays Irene Adler, I think, and throughout the first book, there’s a whole lotta sexual undercurrents b/ween her and Holmes…..but it was never explored, Holmes was never part of bondage-themed, testosterone-fuelled sexcapades…..that scene alone fucks this up for me.

Still, it’s Downey, it’s Ritchie, gonna watch it in any case…..

I personally feel the film has its good and bad issues but if someone says it looks horrible that is their opinion and doesnt change your feeling about the film or your choice to watch it or not.

How can anyone doubt this movie? It looks great.
