Actually pokemon was a videogame first as it was owned by nintendo, the card games and the tv show spun out of the popularity of the game. in the u.s. it might have been that u saw the cards as the popular medium but in japan it was the game that got it all started. the first was pokemon red and green if not mistaken in japan, in states it was blue n red.

Pokemon is a Card Game first and foremost. After that it spun off into films based on a TV show that also had video games made around it.

Calling Pokemon a video game movie is like saying Iron Man is a video game movie because they made a video game of it.

So it's based on an anime that's based on a video game. In other words, it's a video game movie.

I wouldn't really consider Pokemon to be a video game movie since the anime is originally based off the trading card game. Then they did create video games and such for it. The same could be said for anime movies like Digimon, and Yugi Oh (Don't ask me why I know these things). But I did forget to put in their films such as Dead or Alive, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Wing Commander, Doom (actually that one I did enjoy), Alone in the Dark, Hitman, Max Payne, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li, and I know it hasn't come out yet but I have a little faith that it might be good is Prince of Persia.

Mr. McKidd is a true talent. ( The only reason I watched "Journeyman")I refuse to watch that Grey show even with Mr. McKidd......It does prove his range and he belongs on the big screen. I thought there was a part for him in Thor, but we can always hold out for Cap!

Strong arguments...

Basically, you could slap the title of Call of Duty on Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down. Hell, anything!

Call of Duty gains significant praise as a game because you're IN the war, playing the character. As a movie, there's nothing special about it. In fact, it becomes quite generic.
