I love me a good western, and now in the spirit of Bad Girls, we are getting another Cowgirl romp with Amber Heard and Leighton Meester.
Coming Soon says:
Amber Heard (The Stepfather, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) and Leighton Meester (“”Gossip Girl”) will star in Cowgirl Bandits, to be directed by Jess Manafort with Paul Schiff producing.
The film is being described as a young Thelma & Louise. No other plot details are available at this time.
Meester is purely the reason I watch Gossip Girl. Honestly. She is a rare beauty and she can act. I can’t wait to see her all gussied up in dusty leathers and sporting a sidearm.
This won’t be 3:10 to Yuma, but it sounds like it could be fun.

Man don’t get me started on the 3:10 to Yuma, I loved that flick so much.
Anyways,
This sounds cool, I would like to see something like this. I just hope it doesn’t end up like ‘Bandidas’
Bandidas??? LOL, wow, what an awful title.
You haven’t heard of this film? It stars Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz and the awful Steve Zahn.
Man… “Bandidas”. When I saw this crappy flick on cable. I always have this thought… somehow, somwhere, maybe lost in the cutting room, there is another version. This movie is intended to be hard R rated, and those two hot latinas are supposedly lovers and making out in the dusty sand after intense shootout with the corrupt general… and i’m still hoping for that.
Rodney – What about Chuck Bass – That guy could in the next Iron Man 3 movie. He is and stays the best tv villian from 2009.
hot women in the 1800′s is a bad idea unless there hookers or some kinda slave……read your self some Time Life books and find out it was unheard of yet alone not tolerated for women to think they could ride like men etc…bandidas was a stupid idea first off cause women did not wear men clothing and if they did they where austercized.
all in all another crappy chick flick about a time when chick flicks should not be made part of.
Historical accuracy is not the only path to entertainment.
Yes, it was pretty much impossible for a woman to hold those social economic roles in that era, but its fun anyways.
Sharon Stone in Quick and the Dead was a fun play on the archetype, despite its historical inaccuracy. And Bad Girls was fun too. Not the greatest films, but it doesn’t hurt to play with the archetypes.
Leighton Meester=YUMMIE!
