Michael Jackson’s This is It Poster Online

Posted by on 08. 09. 2009in News Chat

With Michael Jackson’s untimely passing, it was only a sense of irony that he was already working on a concert series called “This Is It”.

Well Sony apparently had a goal of finishing and releasing the footage as a film by the end of the year and now we get to see the first poster.

Jackson was so full of flash and colour himself and the image does him justice.

I like predicting how well a movie will do at the boxoffice but this might be the most unpredictable film i’ve seen in a long time. I have no clue what will happen. will it may 5 bucks, 5 mil, 500 mil. I haven’t got the slightest idea. Admittedly that unpredictability has got me very very interested.

  2. AARON says:

It will get a lot. the guy deserves a film, regardless of your opinion on him his life was a success and deserves a film.

  3. AndyS says:

Amazingly talented individual, I’ll be seeing this.

  4. Bill Clay says:

Ah, Trajan. Such a bold, original choice for a film poster!

  5. Iam Wright says:

I just hope they didn’t rush it too much and half ass it.

  6. fullmetal_medji says:

I wonder if this will get a wide release or not. Concert film don’t get a lot of screens, but maybe there will be an exception because he was the king of pop.

    • Oliver says:

Are you kidding? Of course this is gonna get a wide release. How many concert films are hot on the heels of the artists’ media uber-death.

  7. Matt Keith says:

Won’t be supporting this creep’s film.

    • Oliver says:

      Yeah you show him.

    • Oliver says:

Dude, putting aside the issue of whether or not Michael Jackson was a paedophile (of which I can understand scepticism of his acquittal, but then again what do you know that the jury did not?), I don’t see how not ‘supporting’ this film, could harm the ‘creep’ or support anything negative he’s done becuase he’s, DEAD. Oh and you guessed wrong.

      • Matt Keith says:

“but then again what do you know that the jury did not?)”

You actually believe what a those people say. Just b/c he was found “innocent” doesn’t mean he is innocent. There have been plenty of times where a guilty person was found “innocent” and set free, and a innocent was found “guilty”. In this day in age being found “guitly” or “innocent” doesn’t mean shit. But if you want to believe in a CORRUPT judicial system then be my guest.

How do you know that those jury members or cops those examined him weren’t fans, or that Jackson paid them off?

I doesn’t harm Jackson in anyway, but it does support pedophiles across the nation.

      • SlashBeast says:

So we can’t assume that he’s innocent but you can still assume that he’s a pedophile?

I can’t stand conspiracy theorists. There’s no evidence of any such tampering. Don’t you think that is someone in the jury was TRULY paid off that they’d waste no time coming out to the media and getting even more money?

    • Oliver says:

I’m not sure he was actually found innocent, just acquitted. And I’m saying, the fact that he was, should at least be enough to cast doubt on the possibility he did it. Because after all that jury did have more information than you (much more) and it is, POSSIBLE, they weren’t all corrupt. There’s very little evidence to suggest the jury was corrupt anyway, its nothing more than a conspiracy theory. Incidentally there was actually evidence to suggest the accusers where corrupt.
To my original point, he’s dead. All of this is redundant anyway.

  8. Darek-T says:

I really want to see this and am thrilled that it’s coming out so soon.
I just hope that the media completely drops all their “news” about Michael Jackson so it doesn’t seem like this is just retarded media crap.

  9. BobaFett says:

Godspeed MJ. WHo are we to judge a man’s life, when we haven’t a mile in his shoes. Granted, he obviously had some issues, but let no one judge lest he be judged.

And in closing, if you were a parent and your 5 to 10 year old son were to be offered to stay at Neverland back in the day, what would you say?

Some “sick” people would obviously attempt to take advantage of the situation…

  10. bobmoo79 says:

    I’ll be watching this film!
The guy was a legend (still is!) and his passing was a tragedy of magnitude not felt since Lennon, Elvis or Diana.

BTW this is being released worldwide for a limited 2 week run. No doubt they want to capitalise by releasing the inevitable DVD and CD release for Xmas, so no matter how successful it is in the cinema it will be closed in only a few weeks.

  11. Thos says:

Maybe they will have Captain Eo as a DVD extra. Nice poster, btw.

  12. Robert Hernandez says:

Moonwalker was great for its time. Dont bash it!

I think this might be a bit rushed but, what can you expect from greedy sony?

I think they should do this film in 3-D. If they can make a Bullshit Jonas brothers concert in 3-D they can make the King of POP come alive!

    • SuPaGeE says:

I really hope this will be in 3-D that would very really cool. Especially cause the majority of us never got to see a MJ concert that would be remarkable.

  13. Kings says:

Moonwalker is the greatest. M.J was the greatest. Matt Keith stop hating! Innocent until proven guilty bitch! Its people like you who drove him to his death.
