Blue Man Group: Mind Blast – The Live Action Film

Blue Man Group are some of the most creative performers I have seen in the past decade, and if you haven’t seen a show, I highly recommend it.

But since the latest trend is to take something that doesn’t need a movie and make it need a movie, Blue Man Group: Mind Blast is on its way. And of course it will be released in theaters in 3D and IMAX… because what isn’t lately?

JoBlo calls it:

the film is about the three walking Viagras who “enter the brain of a socially and creatively congested person, and their presence helps him bring his inside life outside”.

I like that the Blue Men would be occupants of someone’s brain and not some misadventure of 3 guys who do not speak walking around in the regular world.

But as if that wasn’t strange enough, the studio that has taken on the distribution deal for the film is National Geographic Entertainment! I can just imagine seeing this on their catalogue list between Aboriginal Dance For Teens and Zebra gets Tooth Tattooed Via Lioness!

I think I would prefer a 3D or IMAX presentation of one of their concert performances, but I will have to wait to see how this shapes up.

  1. I think that’s what this is: a concept concert/music video performance and nothing to get worked up negative about.

If anyone is ever in Vegas, I highly recommend shelling out the cash to see these dudes live. It’s seriously really fun. That and the Penn and Teller show too. Vegas rules.
