Megan Fox Washed Michael Bay’s Car To Get Transformers Role?

Ok look, having gone through the audition process and I personally know a lot of actors, I know actors and actresses will do just about anything in this town to get their big break. Come on… we’ve all heard of the casting couch. I don’t judge anyone who does whatever they need to do to achieve their dreams either. Fuck anyone who tells you otherwise… you have a dream? Go for it and do whatever… and whoever… it takes to get you there (I say that as a director lol).
But this one I found a little bit strange. Apparently, as a part of her audition for Transformers, director Michael Bay had Megan Fox wash his car (a ferrari by the way) while he sat back and video taped the whole thing.

Hahahaha…good man, Bay.
However I think he just doomed the world by presenting her on a ‘silver platter’ to us. She absolutely cannot act.

Oh washing a car isn’t the worst or the most degrading thing actors have done to get a part.
In fact now that I think about it it’s probably the easiest thing one could do. Shit if I only had to scrub a floor or dust the shelves for a part in a HUGE block buster I’d be down with that. Even if I had to wear cut of jeans.
Personally I don’t like Bay, this is kind of so-so with me. She;s hot, but she can’t act. If it took her to wash his car for the role that means Shia could have washed anything for him lol (No pun intended, he’s a good actor IMO)
Shia is fun actor I don’t know about good though. Yea I take the shit I get for this Tom Cruise is a better actor.

Jessica Alba has made quite the career on not being able to act and just being eye candy, there is always room for one more. At least Megan Fox will tell you she knows she got the role because of her beauty.
Megan is no Meryl Streep, but she is a far better actress than Alba in my opinion.

at least it’s better than the casting couch which Megan Fox says is alive and well. still, you don’t see Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro, Michael Keaton, Al Pacino, Julia Roberts and etc. videotaped washing cars, as an audition.

What’s wrong with her washing the car? Can’t you see a link with the role she had in the first movie? Her role was a car mechanic’s daughter… Don’t you think that’s part of the audition?

Agreed. I think in this case the car washing is definitely work related. The movie is about cars after all. We all know Bay’s reputation as perfectionist, like James Cameron or the late Stanley Kubrick. I am sure he just wanted the most out of his actors. Being such a professional, I think we can all be certain that nothing but thoughts of the movie crossed his mind while watching Megan Fox performed her extended audition.
Mr. Bay I applaud your dedication to your work.
Can anyone tell her that I have a movie I would like her to star in?

A little disturbing in my opinion, but I wouldn’t complain if I was the one doing the watching.
Everyone at one point has had to do something ridiculous to move ahead in their career and anyone who says otherwise is lying. What Megan did helped open other doors for her by landing the part for Transformers. By the way people you don’t become a Hollywood actor/actress by not being able to act. Megan Fox is a beautiful woman but I can assure you she can act. Most people hate those much more fortunate than themselves. As for Bay I am a fan of his work. He puts tremendous effort and creativity behind his movies. This though makes me question his professional relationship with female leads in his movies. His decision to have her do that as a criteria to land the role is a bit disturbing but we don’t and probably will never know what he was thinking when he asked her to do that for her audition. I can only say that both Fox and Bay helped make one of the largest opening day successes of movie history and we should focus on the end result rather than who did what to who.
First off, don’t ever use the words “Michael Bay” and “creativity” in the same sentence ever again.
And, if we focus on the end results as you suggest, it ends up no less terrible.
It’s just not fare because I’m a fan of both Bay and Fox[well not because of acting]. I don’t know if i should blame Bay because if I was there I would have enjoyed it too.
