Hilarious Teaser Trailer For Ricky Gervais’ “Cemetery Junction”

How can anyone not be a fan of Ricky Gervais? I mean… I understand that some aren’t… but I just find the guy so bloody funny it’s almost unbearable. Like most people, I love his “The Office” and “Extras” stuff, but I also thought he was just brilliant in “Ghost Town” last year which (in my opinion) didn’t get nearly the love it deserved.
Anyway, Jared gave me the heads up on this new teaser trailer for his upcoming film “Cemetery Junction” which he also co-wrote and co-directed and it has to be the funniest trailer I’ve seen so far this year. And here’s the catch… there’s not even any footage from the movie in the trailer. It’s just Gervais, Merchant and Ralph Fines standing in front of a white wall talking to the camera… and it’s brilliant. Check it out:

I just watched that while taking a break in my graphic design class and started laughing out loud. Got some strange looks. Ok, now I really want to know more about this movie.
Ricky Gervais is, arguably, the funniest man in the world! Can’t wait to see this!

Gervais is not the funniest man in the world, he’s a bit of knob with a rather shallow sense of humour. Am I the only one that doesn’t find him funny? Just watch the documentary of him on the road. He’s a self-obsessed bully.
What’s the documentary called? I would like to see it.

Hilarious trailer. Can’t wait. Though, Gervais is obviously missing out on In Bruges and The Chumscrubber.
im not a really big fan of him either …. whats funny is how john like this guy so much and asks ahow no one can like him yet he doesnt like will farell ….im just saying this guys stick is way over done and its not that funny at all…..i mean that one where he is a ghost…is meh at best…and his role in night at the museum was nothing but a crap routine he does over n over again.
Bigsampson you are sort of right. All the American Stuff Ricky does is crap. It is the British stuff that he does that is brilliant.

I would believe R. Gervais is good when I see him playing a different role.
He is always the same, and I think he maybe like that character in real life.
I gotta say I’ve never watched anything with R. Gervais, but I thought this teaser was amazing! Laughed out loud, rarely happens. Doesn’t tell much about the movie though.
Agreed. Ghost Town was a seriously underrated film. Who needs to see film content when teasers are this good?
