I've read the comic for a while now. I heard it was being made into a movie. When I saw the trailer for Daybreakers, I thought they changed the title and used hordes of vampires instead of zombies. I wonder if the creator of the comic can sue for copyrights? lol.

The poster design is a complete rip-off of the book "If You Don't Sleep, you Don't Dream" by William Pauley III. Here is the link to the book's artwork: http://www.webook.com/project/If-You-Dont-Sleep-You-Dont-Dream

according to the trailer there is more than one person in this movie, so it is nothing like I am Legend. yes there is the cure thing, but at least there is interactions between characters, and not just will smith talking to a "fred".

While I did think 28 Days Later. Seems more like someone is trying to cash in on the recent infatuation with vampires, ala, Twilight. Come on where is the creativity in Hollywood?

I was thinking 30 Days Of Night promo for the poster; but that's possibly what they are going for.

As for the premise itself, it does sound closer to the Matheson source material than the recent film version of I Am Legend, and while there may be a tip of the hat to Matheson, I don't think it's a copycat by any means.
