Brand New Transformers 2 Poster

You all know that I’m flat out giddy about Transformers 2. I loved the first movie (major flaws and all) and I’m hoping this one will be even more fun. Devastator should help with that. With that being said, Empire just posed up the new Transformers 2 poster… and you guessed it, I like it. I don’t LOVE it… but I’d put it on my wall.

So according to you… this movie will bomb. I mean, if I’m one of the FEW people that have any faith that it’ll be any good, that means no one will go see it right?
So what do you think? $15 million opening weekend? Maybe $17 million? I mean, if hardly anyone has any faith that it’ll be any good it can’t be any higher than that right?
this movie is totally going to bomb. hell I expect it to only open with 45-50 mil tops, and too just barely break $325,000,000 for its domestic gross….complete and utter failure…..wait a minute.
if a movie breaks 325 million thats not a bomb, thats very succesful, thats more than iron man and kingdom of the cystal skull

Mr. or Miss hisdivsha clearly doesn’t come come to the Movie Blog often. If they did, they would know that allot of us who come to the Movie Blog can not wait to see this movie. Not to mention all OVER the damn internet. The trailers have been just fantastic and it looks even better then the first movie.
This person is just a hater trying to make it sound like him/her and maybe a couple of their friends who don’t like the Transformers movies either, are most of American hating on this franchise. It’s sad really, but there are haters every where and there always will be.
I still have faith in this franchise.

OMG that is horrid-looking. Jeez, all the posters for this one have looked so awful to me, and this one is just awkward-looking. The humans are oddly photoshopped in at an odd angle at the bottom, and the top just looks odd to me.
Just put out a nice poster like that one they did for the first one with the profile shot of Optimus in battle stance. This one is repugnant.

That poster is f**king awful. The humans blatantly aren’t there, the two robots meld into one, there’s no depth to it… It’s as bad as having floating heads.
I hope the CGI in the movie is more convincing than this.
The CG in the trailers looks perfectly fine, but for some reason, the marketing for this film has been a little off to me in comparison to the first one. Maybe they think that because the first one did so well, they already have their audience there opening weekend, so they aren’t trying as hard to make their posters and whatnot look amazing. I’ve noticed that the amount of ads I’ve seen online and on tv are nowhere near what I saw for the first one.
It’s weird because my interest in this movie was through the roof a few months ago, but the more that I see (and don’t see), the more that I feel myself lowering my expectations. What with the returning characters and all of their baggage, plus all of these new robots running around, I’m getting this feeling that I’m going to get a clusterfuck.

Also, I have mixed feelings about the new Optimus Prime design in the movies, but I think this is the worst I’ve seen him.
I Love this poster. My favorite other then I really dig the large billboards all around l.a.
This movie will Kick terminators ass, the ass of harry potter, pirates, spider man, wolverine, any anything else that comes in its way other then Avitar.

Poster is meh. This movie is more centered around the Cons anyhow. They should be running from Megatron or Starscream instead.
Blah poster aside, this movie is gonna rock.
I like the poster but i’d like it a lot more if they ditched the beef and the fox from it.
Mr Campea sorry for the confusion, if you read my entire post you will understand that i was not coming from a finacial point of view. Im sure the movie will make lots of money. But the movie will suck there is no avoiding this. Please read my entire post before answering. I really want to read what you think.
No, you specifically said that I was only one of the FEW who had any faith in the movie. If the movie makes money, that means people had enough faith in it to spend money on going to see it. So if only a FEW people have faith in it, then it won’t make any money… if it dose make money, that means you’re wrong.
And what you say: “But the movie will suck there is no avoiding this.” what does that mean? Yes there is “avoiding it” because the first one was fantastic and very entertaining. Most people thought so. If you don’t agree… that’s cool, you’re entitled to your opinion and I respect that. But you’re going to have to realize not everyone shares your opinion.

LOL, that would be great if Prime accidentally stepped on one of them, like how you might step on you new puppy’s leg or foot when it goes between your feet while your walking.
My prediction:
- 150 million opening for this film (maybe that’s a little conservative)….
- 450-500 million domestic gross and 900 million worldwide .
- Writers Orci, Kurtzman and Ehren Kruger will return for the 3rd film , which I definitely expect the Dinobots and Unicron to appear.
- Of course, Michael Bay will helm the 3rd film.
