Monsters Vs Aliens TV Show Coming

I ended up enjoying Monster Vs Aliens. No, it wasn’t anywhere near Pixar quality, but the characters were cute and charming, there were a few really good laughs and some terrific action for an animated kids film.
The one thing I mentioned to a friend of mine after walking out of the movie was that I thought it was ripe to be made into a TV show. The scenario of a team of Monsters fighting various threats week to week seemed too obvious to pass up.
Well… looks like that’s what they were thinking. It was just announced that Nickelodeon has ordered at least a pilot episode from DreamWorks.
I’m not a big fan of turning movies into TV shows, but I think for kids this one can work. (Source: ComingSoon)

Damn, I loved that movie.
I heard that those Madagascar penguins got their own show, so maybe this will survive. I still want an Incredibles sequel or show or something.

I loved this movie, so I hope the show is good, and I hope they get the same voices, which im sure they wont.
It was a fun movie and I can certainly see it work pretty well as a TV show with a Villain-of-the-week setup. I hope they get a good voice cast for it though, I don’t see most of the original voice actors doing a weekly show.
