Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus Pictures

Because of how brilliant he was in The Dark Knight, a lot of people forget that it wasn’t Heath Ledger’s last movie. Ledger was working on the Terry Gilliam movie “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” when he died. As you may recall, instead of scraping the movie, they finished it with Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell all stepping in to play Ledger’s character to finish the project.

The film has just recently picked up distribution (finally) after it looked like it may fail to do so. The film will premier at the Cannes FIlm Festival on May 22nd.

The good folks over at Filmofilia share some pictures from the production that they got their hands on. In the pictures we can see Christopher Plumber as Doctor Parnassus, Heath Ledger as Tony, and Lily Cole as Doctor Parnassus’ daughter Valentina.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this turned out.

The costuming and makeup looks surreal in those images. Looking forward to see how that all fits in with the movie.

Am I the only one who thought the first pic of Heath was actually Steve Gutenburg?
