The Trailer for Blood: The Last Vampire Trailer is online. Based on the cult anime series that despite having a trailer, has no official release date.

In the film, demons have infested the earth and only one warrior stands between the dark and the light: Saya, a half-human, half-vampire samurai who preys on those who feast on human blood. Joining forces with the shadowy society known as the Council, Saya is dispatched to an American military base, where an intense series of swordfights leads her to the deadliest vampire of all. And now after 400 years, Saya’s final hunt is about to begin.

Now despite the synopsis sounding like Buffy the Vampire Slayer (single girl warrior against the hordes of vampires guided by Watchers.. er The Council) meets Blade (Half Vampire fighting against the darker side of her heritage), the trailer DOES make it look pretty damn good.
Bad ass, I am totally there.
I have the animated movie, while it’s only about an hour long, it’s freakin’ awesome, with some of the freakiest, scariest monsters and scenes I’ve ever seen in any movie. The animation is nothing short of amazing and beautiful as well. Some parts are also very violent and brutal. In a way the Blood series is like an very adult version Buffy the Vampire Slayer meet the X Files.
There’s also an anime series called, Blood+, but I’ve only seen like one episode and I remember thinking that I liked the movie version better, the series seems more tame. Also been meaning to read the manga, but have yet to.
But from what I see in this live action trailer, it’s a pretty spot on live action version of the animated one. But they’re is also quite a bit in the trailer not from the animated movie, like that whole part with the women in white. Thinking she’s someone from the manga series, as well as the other stuff I don’t recognize.
I just hope it’s all good, new material or source material I’ve yet to see, I hope this movie turns out to be awesome and might make up for the crap pile that was the DBZ movie for us anime fans.
Im gonna skip this cause they have turned Blood into another version of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon with all the over use of wire works. I also want to skip the film cause it seems they also put in story elements that are clich and pointless.

Boy that sort of looked cool but it’s hard to tell. The original anime’ short movie was awesome. If you guys have any interest check it out because that was damn cool. I hope this movie does it justice.

AWWW I expected to see that sololist guy who helps Saya and sort of unleashed her to remember her memories as a demon slayer
It does have an official release date, just not in the U.S.
