New Wolverine Character Posters

Ok, so I still have very little hope that Wolverine is going to be any good… but I’ve got to admit that I’m excited about seeing it (what can I say, I’m a comic book movie freak). And so, I was curious about the new character posters for the movie that just came out. Frankly they’re kinda boring looking to me… but they do re-raise some questions in my head about the movie:
1) Why is Scott there?
2) How the hell will they explain 2 different Sabertooths? The one from the first x-men movie and now this one
3) Why does Gambit look like such a douche?

Weapon X needs cyclops’ power
The X1 sabertooth is what wolverine could have been if he followed victor, they were like partners in all wars but after they were separated by weapon X, sabertooth changed and wolvie stayed tiny
Cmon! Gambit was always a douche! Hey this is the guy from “The Convenant” which was the BIGGEST douche-fest ever
Too bad they dont have an Agent Zero poster
My big concern is Riggins……er..gambit. From the trailers I’ve seen it looks like it’s going to be Riggins from Friday night Lights, same accent and all, with kinetic cards. We’ll see if he has more than one character in him. But maybe I’m the only one who watches that show.
But I’m still going to see it and hope for the best.
Two different sabretooths don’t bug me. If the Xmen universe keeps getting movie treatment, there are going to be more and more discrepancies as we go. It’s worth it. They could just say he grew his hair out……. JK
the first two and last one are bad ass, the middle two suck
And seriously i think i am the only one saying besides John that i think the movie will be horrible, i have thought that ever since the first trailer
i dont think its gonna be horrible, but i cant say that im excited about this film, x3 pretty much killed any excitement i had for a new xmen film.

the saboortooth in this film is the same in the first xmen, i mean he can always grow his hair out and dye it blonde and become more like an animal between the events of this film and the first xmen
Wow, all those posters suck. Why the hell is there even one with Cyclops??? He’s not in any way a “main” character in the movie. They should have done one with the Stryker and Weapon XI.
At second look, I think they’re fakes.
What’s the source of those posters John??
1) Scott is there for a reason. This is basically a prequel to X-men 1.
2) The sabertooth thing is definitely a problem. I think you need to keep x1 sabertooth and this sabertooth aside. X1 sabertooth was frankly speaking total bag of shit.
3) Gambit looking douche just like Bumblebee looking like a complete moron by crying.
Read the comic sometime Don. Gambit was always cocky and suave and anyone who didn’t appreciate it thought he was a douche…
Then go watch the Transformers cartoon and realize ANYTHING Michael Bay has done with these characters is far cooler than that.

have you ever played xmen:mutant apocalypse for the SNES, lol i enjoyed playing as gambit in that game
I played X-Men Legends and the 2nd one with Apocalypse
I beat the 2nd one using only gambit and then i did the same with deadpool…I tried doing it with iceman but i kept getting killed by fucking archangel

Why do they need to explain the two different Sabretooths? Who cares? I don’t think that’s a big deal at all. The first X-Men was 9 years ago, I don’t think anybody’s losing sleep that Tyler Mane got replaced by a real actor.
yea exactly. same reason why they don’t need to explain how colonel Rhody Rhodes lost 40 pounds, got 4 inches shorter and 5 hundred shades blacker in between Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 2. Who GIVES a shit??!! If it’s better, it’s better. Nobody will complain about an upgrade.
They look fake and photoshopped as all fuck.
And why doesn’t the woman get her own single poster? Boo.
I have to agree, Kristina. No Emma Frost here is sort of odd.
I agree with those who say these look fake. They definitely don’t look like a professional job at all.
Also, Gambit in that picture reminds me of David Copperfield….

The middle 2 are horrible. Gambit looks like a lame vampire who does card tricks, or a Vegas act and Deadpool, at least I guess that’s suppose to be Deadpool, just looks like a guy in purplish-red shirt. Lame, lame indeed.
At least the other ones are cool though.
maybe at the end of this movie sabertooth gets a hit to the head and becomes an idiot, to fit the character from X1
LOL, I didn’t think the version of Sabertooth was that bad in X1. He didn’t have any good lines to make him even slightly memorable.
In the comics Wolverine’s mutation was put to a halt because of the atomantium placed on his skeleton. If that wasn’t done he would have become more feral, and he would be a bit more like Sabertooth.
So, maybe that could be the explanation with Sabertooth in the movie that his mutation is still going on and as the years go by he will continue to become more feral.
I’ll buy this argument. After all, at one point Beast grew blue fur.
Ok the Sabertooth thing is clearly for the choice of a superior actor, the very same argument that we all had with Don Cheadle playing Rhoadie in Iron Man 2. Now the character does look different..heck me id like to have the old school tights from the comic with the bone necklace.
Gambit, ive never seen anything with this actor in it , but as long as he gets the accent down i dont see anything wrong with it, Gambit is always cocky as hell. Thing is Gambit is at least 20 in this movie which seems to be set at around 10 years before X1, soooo isnt Gambit gonna be a bit old for Rouge, that is if they ever do another sequel. My guess is that they never plan on that so they dont care.
Scott/Cyclops…this storyline seems a waste, ive read a ton of Xmen comics i dont ever remember Logan saving Scott or meeting Scott when he was young, i could be wrong. If they wanted to just throw a ton of Xmen/Mutants into a movie why not use Alpha Flight?? I mean id pay 10 bucks to see a Logan vs Puck fight.
All that said im excited for the movie and im sure ill probably be at a midnight screening…dammit im even on planning on getting the Video Game.
I’m like you, I wish the X-Men movies would be much more like the comic stories’ they’re based on too. But unless Fox finally gives up the rights to X-Men and Marvel finally gets it back, most likely the X-Men movies will always be very loosely based on the comics. I finally came to terms with this around the time I saw X2.
I wish that some day Fox will let it go and at least give Marvel a shot at it…
1. wolvrine meets up with scott somewhere….trust me its lame..w/e there trying to bridge the stories….i thought it was lame.
2. sabertooth thing doesnt really need to be explained…if u need it to be explained then basically u must have missed that they got a new actor for it do to actually talking
3. If u are a gambit fan then u will think that this guy sucks IMO…im not really a gambit fan but i can say that its not what i would have asked for….barely in it and he doesnt even say fucking MONA MI! or some cool as french creole talk.
I can confirm, that all the character photos are very real. (I’m currently working with the danish posters and adds) I don’t know if somebody took the graphic from the original poster and made it into seperate posters on his own, though. But it’s real.
I’m excited to see Cyclops role as well. The others seem to make sense after watching the trailer.
Just saw it, not illegally, but I did. I know I have been saying I thought it would be bad. Well, I was wrong, it was good but nowhere near great. In between good and alright
