Zack Snyder Lines up his Girls for Sucker Punch

Zack Snyder has never had any trouble gathering talent for his films. Typically visually oriented films, his upcoming effort “Sucker Punch” has thrown paperwork out to gather Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish and Evan Rachel Wood.

MovieWeb says:

Seyfried would play the lead role of Babydoll, a woman institutionalized by her stepfather who wants her lobotomized in five days. While there she begins to visualize a fantasy world that she escapes into, a world where she begins to plan her escape, needing to steal five things in five days.

Hudgens, Cornish and Wood would all play fellow inmates who escape into the world with Babydoll. Hudgens would portray Blondie, Cornish would play Sweet Pea and Wood would be Rocket, if all the deals are met.

Sounds like the B-sexploitation market originally about to be cornered by Bitch Slap will have some competition.

Snyder has a habit of putting out some heavily stylized eyecatching movies, and with a concept ripe with sexual stereotypes of an unglamourous womans prison seasoned with fantasy dreamscape scenes.

Sounds fun.

Sounds interesting. Look forward to seeing how Evan Rachel Wood is in such a part. She is a pretty damn good actress, loved her in Across the Universe, The Life Before Her Eyes, and King of California. Going to have to keep an eye out for this movie.
