I love mob movies. I just recently rewatched "Road to Perdition" (my second favoite). Depp is a great actor, and I think it would be a unique experience to see Batman & Sweeney at odds. I may see this one in theatres.

I liked Miami Vice, maybe one of the only few. I think the only reason it did not do all that well was that most people that saw it were probably expecting an action flick, which it was not. Soundtrack was awesome, still listen to it. The shootout near the end of the movie was awesome in HD, very realistic looking almost to the point that it seemed like it was filmed with a handicam.

I did not really like 3:10 to Yuma, but that was not Bale's fault. I just spent the entire movie expecting him to break out into this crazy gun slinger, which is not the way the story went. Guess I was hoping for the cliche and felt a little let down it did not happen. Bale did his part good though. Worse part of TDK, arguably, just as Bale is arguably the best Batman as of yet. Only contender for that position would be Keaton. Would not say he is one sided either. Have you seen the Machinist or American Psycho? Only one sidedness I have really noticed is his intensity on screen, which is not a bad thing at all.

Can't wait to see this, and can't wait to see Terminator: Salvation. Bale is going to be a good fit for both those flicks.

Depp: Dude, you can't talk to me like that, I was in fucking Pirates of the Caribbean.

Bale: Oh goooood how was it?!

Depp: It made like a billion dollars.

Bale: Oh well it's useless now ain't it!

Depp: Noope, still spendin that money.
------------------
Sorry, always wanted to do my own parody of the rant. But yeah, this looks fantastical. And I still love Bale.

Not on a huge Bale kick lately. I didnt really like him in 3:10 to Yuma, and he was the worst part of TDK.

He seems too one dimensional. Mann had better rebound from Miami Vice. He's losing his grip about as fast as Ridley Scott.... Redemption is only a film away, however. Here's to Robin Hood and Public Enemies.
