I think Chris Pine (who is already rumored for the role) would be a good fit specially if he does a good job in Star Trek. I mean Kirk and Hal are almost the same character with huge ego`s and picking up broads

But yes, as cool as Rayner was in his time as GL, he isn’t the most well known in the role. Rayner had a very short run in the books and that just happened to be the part you read.

I don’t know John. Unfortunately, I only read Green Lantern for a short time and only the Kyle Rayner run. I like Kyle and I wouldn’t mid it if they had him in the story. I know many would disagree with me, but that is the Lantern I’m familiar with.

You make it sound like Fillion is the only person able to act with those qualities.

And you could line up any actor’s previous role by using words to make it sound like they are Hal’s qualities.

Mal was also a teddybear acting tough, sympathetic to those in need, morally questionable and opportunistic. Qualities not of Hal Jordan.

Don’t be so sure of that Rodney. I am referring to schedules. Nothing more. Granted, gone are the days when say, Tom Selleck lost out on Raiders because Magnum PI locked him down.

To the rest of you: I can’t think of anyone else. And Kutcher surprised me a bit in The Guardian. I also mentioned him because he lobbied to be Supey at one point. So if he tossed his hat into this “ring”, it would not surprise me.

I want to stress that these aren’t necessarily the actors I want to be considered, but the actors (we know) that most likely be, aside from Fallon and Boreanaz. The list is also who I could think of off the top of my head.

I am a fan of Nathan Fillion (age 37), but I cannot see him in this role myself. Between him and David Boreanaz (age 39) they are the names most thrown out by everyone.

It really makes no sense at all for people to continually throw David Boreanaz name out for every Super Hero role that comes up. Why? Well he is in a hit TV show which he is also a producer of, in what universe does he leave this supremely popular show he is producing and starring in, to act in a movie that may, or may not do well. I can see Bones going another 3-4 years, so he is gonna ride that sled to the finish.
