Verbinski set for Unnamed Universal Script

Michael Gilio’s script once known as The Black Hole, the now an untitled story revolving around a money scam drama looks to be offered up as Gore Verbinski’s next gig.

MovieWeb says:

The untitled project looks at a retired rancher who loses all his money in a phone scam.

“The script taps into the shaken trust the public has toward once-trusted institutions and examines how the people behind these institutions are sometimes themselves as much victims of the same blind trust,” said producer Jonathan Krauss.

Sounds a little deep for Verbinski fare, sending this message is going to be a lot deeper than Pirates of the Caribbean.

Here’s hoping that he pulls it off.
