Vanessa Hudgens to join New Moon?

The target demographic for the Twilight franchise is teenage girls though it seems to have spread beyond that finding appeal in a broader spectrum.
So to hear news that High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the role? Smart move from where I am sitting.
News has come out regarding the anticipated vampire sequel New Moon that High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is possibly being cast in the role of Leah Clearwater, a character described as “a feisty werewolf.”
If Hudgens can prove to stretch her acting ability from cute and perky to include mean and feisty, then I could see her really openning a few doors. Right now it seems most of the people against this news are the ones convinced that she will never be more than her character in Highschool Musical. But if she can prove to be more than a cute face, this is worth the risk.
Also, considering how insanely popular the High School Musical franchise is with younger teen viewers, having a familiar face that will help the blooming teens step into a bigger franchise wouldn’t hurt either.

I disagree, i believe that Ms.Hudgens shouldn’t be given the part of Leah Clearwater she is not suted for the part.
