Not a good day for celebrity deaths.

First I wrote about Patrick McGoohan, and now Ricardo Montalban has left this mortal plane.

LA Times shares:

Ricardo Montalban, the suave leading man who was one of the first Mexican-born actors to make it big in Hollywood and who was best known for his role as Mr. Roarke on ABC’s “Fantasy Island,” has died. He was 88.

Montalban died Wednesday morning at his Los Angeles home of complications related to old age, said his son-in-law, Gilbert Smith.

Forever he shall be Roarke on Fantasy Island with his late sidekick Tatoo forever announcing “da plane”.

And Montalban also defined the role of Khan in arguably the best chapter of the Star Trek movies.

The man who set the standard for Latin suave will not be forgotten.
