The Watchmen are set to have a video game that will tie into the film. We get the following release news and screenshot montage from our friends at Slashfilm:
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment will be releasing the game for download for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The first game is expected in March 2009, around the time of the film’s theatrical release. A follow-up will hit in time for the film’s home video release.
Video Games based on movies are far better now than when I was a kid. I remember playing E.T. on the Atari 2600 …that game sucked as bad as a game could suck. I am saddened that I haven’t been able to forget it.
The graphics on the games that are coming down the pipe are outstanding. With every advance in graphics I am always excited at what I see, but even more curious about what’s around the corner. In the future I suspect people will leave their homes even less than they do now. When the games are epic, life has a hard time competing.
The Warriors was good too.
I just wanna play this game to play the characters Rorschach and Nit Owl that’s pretty cool. Plus, the books stands alone on its part.
I mean look at Twilight. Whole lot of crap. Book was okay and movie sucked balls. The End.
But Watchmen;
that’s different. Watchmen [the movie, game, etc.] can be a commercialized tool but the book will always be there….
Not saying it’s bad until I play it.

spidermna 2 was awsome and king kong was pretty good to.Im sure watchmen will go down with the very few movie game greats ( all the others gust get worse and worse ).

When was the last time you played a good ‘movie-game’? Not including “Chronicles of Riddick”, that was actually the only ‘movie-game’ I think I’ve played that didn’t suck ass.

The problem with this…is it will look good (as most games do nowadays) but suck ass as it will have been rushed to match the films release. So what you’ll get is a basic runaround version of the film that will sell to hundreds of little kids.
Very rarely do video-games of films succeed and vice-versa.
There are as previously mentioned a few exceptions *Goldeneye being the most highly rated.

The only good video game based off a movie was Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay and that was it. I have a lot of doubt for this game.
I funny how movies and video games don’t go together… video games into movies suck, movies into video games useually suck but i’m probably gonig to download Watchmen on the PS3 if it has good ratings.
