Masters Of The Web Comic Con Video

This morning we had the annual (I guess it’s annual now) Masters of the Web panel here at Comic Con in San Diego. I was really thrilled to sit on the panel with some of the best guys in the online film community like Robert Sanchez (IESB); Garth Franklin (Dark Horizons); Mike Sampson (Joblo); Erik Davis (Cinematical); Brad Miska (Bloody Disgusting); Eric “Quint” Vespe (AICN); Devin Faraci aka The Internet (Chud); Paulington J. Christensen III (Movieweb); Kellvin Chavez (Latino Review).

So for you guys who are just interested in Movie Blog related stuff… here are the clips of just me from the panel:

And if you want the full meal, here’s the video of the whole panel:

  1. Hey Raya,

The problem isn’t that we didn’t put any women on the panel. The problem is that there aren’t more women involved in online film blogging.

We put the most influential film web people on the panel, and the unfortunate truth is that right now, there aren’t any women who come close to that. This needs to change.

  2. No women on that panel at all? Surely you could have found ONE lady representative from the online film-review community? Perhaps the only females in attendance at this very obvious “boy’s club” of internet movie geeks were the hired dancers at the after-party? Let’s be honest here, if this representation wanted any credibility then it should have just been honest and called itself what it was “Fanboys of the Web.”

  3. That was awesome John. As I have said before, you are an inspiration to people like me running a blog and that was enjoyable to hear you speak your thoughts about what is going on. I wish I could have been there to see this panel.

  4. I would prefer to think that that was the whole panel and you just took over and no one else got to talk!!! Because that would make that footage hilarious. I will say you are a good public speaker campea. sometimes I read your posts and I am puzzled as to what you are going on about as we disagree a bit but you sure can hold a crowd.
