Ghost Town Trailer

We have the trailer for the new Ricky Gervais comedy Ghost Town for you to take a gander at. A big thank you to the video lords of You Tube for the hookup.

When i first heard about this picture, I was excited to check it out. I like the comedy stylings of Gervais and was looking forward to seeing him in a film with Greg Kinnear.

Sadly, this trailer has taken most of that hope away, and trampled it under foot. My “cheese” alarms have gone off after playing this trailer and I had to remove the batteries just to shut them up. International Friends – what are your thoughts on the trailer?

  1. The romantic comedy version of “The Sixth Sense”. The seeing dead people and helping them resolve their unfinished business was exactly what happened in that movie. Now with added love interest! Bizarre. I love Gervais’ work in the The Office and Extras, but his film work has always been a bit off. He was one of the few stumbling blocks in Stardust. And he was just off putting in Night at the Museum, a project that I would have imagined would be beneath him. Of course like any of us he loves to get paid. Too bad he can’t find a way to translate or hold out for a project with the sophistication of the Office and Extras.

  2. I really like Ricky too (bless the holy trinity of Ricky, Steve and Karl) but this trailer does nothing for me.
    Looks lame as fuck actually.

  3. I never found the appeal of Ricky Gervais. And this new flick, Ghost Town, doesn’t give me any reason to like Gervais as an actor. I feel like I’ve seen this plot recycled many times, some dude or chick seeing a dead person…hmmm oh wait, Over Her Dead Body, Ghost Dad, Sixth Sense, Ghost, Just Like Heaven etc
