The film slogs painfully the characters (all of them) are non-dimensional and unbelievable. The dialog is tortured and the transition mechanisms are laughable. I tried to give this one the benefit of the doubt but at the end I couldn't decide if it was dark comedy or a B attempt at a serious film. Save your money and your time there are a lot of good films that deserve your attention. While She Was Out is a terrible exploitation film. I love a good ol' revenge flick movie just like any other person but this one felt forced and at times boring. The "bad" guys are a bunch of wanna be gangster thugs, who honestly couldnt make a retarded child believe they were bad ass. The film followed the normal style of any revenge flick and that also made the film feel repetative and boring. The death scenes were cool and the blood splatter wasnt too bad on some scenes. I would've prefered someone other then Kim Bassinger because the way she carried her character you were more annoyed with her then rooting for her. All in all I'd give it a 4/10.
