If they make a new Phantom movie set the in modern day,it should be the 23rd Phantom with flash backs of past phantoms.Not the 21st in the 21st century, he should be his grandfather.They need to update the suit with slight modifications to it eg. kevlar body armour,inbuilt radio communication system,tactical boots,tactical knife,tactical gloves,metal gaunlets for forearms,dual beretta side arms with a gun belt that can hold more ammo clips but keeping the skull motiff and leave the head piece alone also the mask.

There was nothing wrong with Billy Zane’s performance, he was a fan of the character which means he was into it and not just another actor who was offered it and took for screen time.It’s stupid to worry about little things like having see through eyes to be intimidating or the fact that he shows his face in public and in the comic books he does’nt and the tribal skull pattern on the broke up the colour of the purple suit in broad day light also they mixed three LEE FALK storie’s The Singh Brotherhood,The Sky Band, The Belt and one made up for the movie Skulls of Tuaganda,talking to the dead ghost of his father(20th Phantom)they probably thought the 21st needed an advocate to talk to, rather then thought bubbles.If anything the movie needed be more gritty/dark.The Phantom should punch like a light heavy boxer/wrestle and break bones and joints and shoot to maine and if people accidently die shit happens!Members of the public have to realize some things work in the comics and not live action adeventure movies and if you complain to much about it you won’t see the ghost who walks for another 40 years on the big screen,phantom is not that popular in the main stream.In hind sight probably would have worked better as a live action TV series.

In the Billy Zane movie everything was fine except that the eyes should not have been seen through the mask, the Phantom should not have been shown unmasked , and Guran should not have been turned into a turbaned Asian Indian boy. How I wish Tom Tyler the original Phantom actor had been alive and young for this movie!

I love the phanotom comics i have collected them for probaly around 15 years give or take but could not stand the last movie.
why could we see Zanes eyes
Whats with the stupid prints all over the outfit. all tho i have to admit i prefer the black and white comics since the suit does look kinda silly just being purple
what was with the special powers in the ring and chaging so much of the orignal story for the worse. i dont mind change but not when its for the worse.
I have to admit ive only watched the movie once and blocked most if it outta of my memory the orignal tv series as corny as it was was so much better. least it was black and white.
Please do a good job of turning my favourite comic of all time into a movie this time

Phantom comics have been in print in Australia non stop for 50+ years. They have always been written in the “modern day”. The stories published in the 40′s were set in the 40′s and the stories published in the 90′s were set in the 90′s etc (except when the stories flash back to older generations of phantom).

I think a new movie needs to be set in the modern times with a few good scenes set in the past to tell a multi-generational story.

The Phantom is pimp but that movie with Zane was pure trash, it really looked like low budget direct to VHS bullshit, for freakin’ kids, children, little blokes…
