Somehow, I can’t see sci-fi nostalgia spelling out box office success unless they really bring something new to the table. Flash Gordon has a bigger fan-base, and even that movie might have to struggle.

I can’t wait for a Frank Miller take on Buck Rogers. I happen to really dig what Frank does and don’t think there is any reason for people to bash him. If you aren’t into something don’t jump on every message board and bash it. Just don’t bother wasting your time with it. You only have one life to live. Why waste it on being “angry” about someone you don’t know over a movie that you aren’t being forced to see?

I’m not into Darren Aaronofsky… but I don’t go on every post about “The Wrester” and make bogus claims about his work do I? It’s a matter of personal taste. Unfortunately most people, even though they claim to respect that, fail to see the fact that they don’t.

I was referring to the online community. There’s much negativity floating around concerning this movie. Based on that I’m worried. I don’t wanna spend my cash, which is in short supply, on a movie that will suck. I want to like the movie, but the trailers aren’t doing it for me. I’ll wait for some solid reviews to be posted before I make a determination.

Or they scavenge looking for the one or two reviewers that the movie actually struck a chord with then throw those up on the commercials with splashes of “Brilliant!” – Boise Community Newsletter.

They might be the only ones, but there are newspapers everywhere with reviewers that just may genuinely like a film everyone else dislikes.

But sometimes one or two BAD reviews of a movie spoil it for everyone and the movie just might.. maybe.. be good.

Yeah I mean remember when Gigili came out all the commercials came out saying it was good and it turned out to a giant crapfest… It seems many movies now a days are paid off to look good on tv hahahaha

If you had seen the recent commercials with raving reviews of this movie splashed all over them it would appear at least someone liked it.

Or at least they want you to think so, and give it half a chance.

And Bobafett…. I loved MysteryMen, Shadow and Rocketeer.
