PascalWe have news today about an upcoming horror film called Details. We get the following scoop from our friends at the movieweb:

French helmer Pascal Laugier (Martyrs) will direct Paramount Vantage horror thriller Details from his own script for Blumhouse Productions.

Details, based on a short story by China Mieville, centers on a daughter who disappears after awakening supernatural forces that inhabit the random patterns of everyday objects. Dan Kay wrote the original adaptation.

Satan is in the furniture: The Movie. I want to see a possessed fridge decapitate someone.

It’ s hard to get excited about this film when we have such little information. The idea of spirits possessing inanimate objects may be of more interest to me than most; largely due to the fact that I will take all the satan I can get in film. Demonic possession is creepy as hell and can make for great cinematic scares.

We will be sure to shoot you the updates about this film as soon as they are made available to us.

I’d rather he be concentrating on Hellraiser………

i have read a number of stories written by China Mieville, including the horror novel King Rat (a play on the Pied Piper) and his Steam-Fiction novels. He can take a bit of getting used to but once he hits his flow they are fascinating reads.

    The Wikipedia description says:
A boy, charged with caring for a mysterious old woman, discovers that strange and frightening forces live hidden in the lines, cracks and creases of our world. This tale also appeared in The Children of Cthulhu: Chilling New Tales Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft (edited by John Pelan and Benjamin Adams).

Could be a very odd but pleasantly violent film.
