The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

We have news of an animated Avengers series coming to TV in 2011. The following scoop is made available to us thanks to the good people over at the movieweb:
Marvel Animation, a division of Marvel Entertainment, is beginning production on The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, a new animated series timed to come out in 2011, just in time for the theatrical releases of The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the series will be produced by Film Roman, the same company behind The Simpsons and King of the Hill.
I like superhero team cartoons. As a kid I watched Super Friends (Justice League) and had peculiar and perverse dreams about wrestling with the boobs of Giganta. Ongoing episodic television allows you to slowly unwrap details about everyone on the team and is a much better format than film in this regard. You don’t have to worry about stuffing all the details into one outing.
I am all for an Avengers cartoon and think that having it launch alongside the movie is just plain smart. It also means another batch of nifty toys.

when i was little i used to LOVE the legion of doom when i watched challenge fo the super friends
when i was little i used to know every single character in that show villain or good. (i still do lol)
i doubt this will be better
although its about time we get a good cartoon about heroes…the best ones are too old now and the new spiderman one and the new transformers ones are SOOO LAAMMEE
(the transformers one is horrible. not the classics i mean the new one that recently just came out)
as long as they succed to get the writers of the first two ‘ultimates’ comicbooks, i´m all for it.
cartoon adaptations of the last 15 years disappointed me as they´re too child-friendly, something i don´t want to apply to a show featuring the hulk and nazis/aliens
At least this time they are allowed to use Cap Am, iron Man and Thor. The last Avengers-cartoon they made in 99 was really bad
I want to see cap iron man thor and hulk…the avengers cartoon wasn’t that bad..
I love Bruce Timm’s Justice League. It’s the best animated series out there. Sadly it’s no more.
I hope Marvel gets this Avengers series right because so far all their other animated shows fall far behind DC’s.
DANI… agreed! DC has the corner market on Cartoon and MARVEL is the current leader of the Movies. I hope that changes soon though. I am a diehard DC fan over MARVEL! Stop fucking shit up DC/WB get on the ball. It’s starting to roll… just try to keep the momentum.
