I don’t see it. BHT was one of those flicks that stands on it’s own and a sequel, especially if Hollywood is involved, will fuck it up. With Giamatti on board, Hollywood will want in. That said, fuck Cage or Perlman for Elvis. Get Kurt Russell. He’s done it before and he has the fat Elvis look already. Not to much extra needed to fix him up. Still, Elvis croaked in the last one and I hate sequels that bring back the dead in some fucking stupid way (Star Trek).

They should have gotten Nicholas Cage to do this. I don’t see Pearlman in this role honestly.
Cage does an amazing Elvis and his best performance by far was in Wild At Heart where he was channeling the King.

To actually promote Cage to do a role feels strange to me cause I’ve hated his performances in almost everything he’s done in the last few years. But Cage is Elvis for sure.

It just won’t be the same, they may aswell have made a completely different film with a completely different name, but with the same comedic styleing, making it have any relation to the first film, yet having non of the main original cast members back is a sure fire way to put people of even watching this movie.
No Bruce, no Ossie Davis (Mr president) r.i.p. – whats the point? they made the first movie work.

I think they should’ve tried to get Nathan Fillian after Bruce stepped down. But I’m cool with RED taking the role.

I love the first one and think the second will be equally as fun.
