I staed my opinion in a review for the pineapple express soundtrack I did for Denver’s Westword. Would love to see the movie made though…

Various Artists, Pineapple Express Soundtrack, (Lakeshore). Marvel comics once had a title called “Doctor Strange” that was a terrible read but fun to look at under certain trippy circumstances. This collection is kind of the same thing. It’s no chart-worthy masterpiece, but fun tracks by Robert Palmer and Public Enemy are okay for recreational use. — Daviet

I wonder if Gaiman is still connected to the script. A few months ago before he was booked for the next half century, there were those reports of Gaiman teaming up with Guellemo Del Toro.

Also, I strongly disagree with Rodney (or was he kidding?) – I can see Strange having something close to his classic ceremonial robes (including the Cloak Of Levitation) as seen above.
I did recall the time Marvel DID restart/re-invent Strange- and made him look like more of a costumed hero, and that was dreadful.

As for director (methinks Del Toro is, well, tied up for the next half century) I’d like to see a roll of the dice on any of the following four:
David Lynch (who would probably never take it); David Cronenberg (my personal choice), Wes Craven and …Mike Mendez (Gravedancers).

Who would make a good Strange? There’s a dozen and one actors who I can see in the part as far as who has the look down…Gerald Butler, Viggo Mortensen, Mark Ruffalo…I could go on and on so much so as to I can say whoever they get is fine with me. Just as long as Jessica Simspon isn’t Clea we should be good to go.

I love Dr. Strange. Definitely one of my favorites. The one big problem is how they’re going to mix all these elements together. Iron Man & Hulk created a science-oriented universe, so magic will be a difficult subject to mix in. If Thor fares well, then we can say the Dr. is in. Another thing is that Dr. Strange is rich as well. Not as well-off as Stark, but still up there. I can’t wait. I knew they would make it. I don’t know who could play Strange well. David Blaine is a great look-a-like, but he has no talent. Hugh Laurie would be okay, but he’s got too much attention from House. I suck at casting calls. Oh well. Marvel’s 2-0 right now, so let’s hope for 3.

of all of the new marvel cartoons I would rate this one the best.

I’d rather see an Illuminati movie with Dr. Strange. sadly it won’t happen.
