Amazon Taking The Dark Knight Pre Orders
For those of you that don’t want to tarry in obtaining your copy of The Dark Knight on DVD/Blu-ray, you are now able to place your pre order with Amazon. We were made aware of this thanks to our friends at comingsoon. They were also nice enough to provide the following links for the available versions.
Blu-ray Disc Two-Disc Special Edition Widescreen Edition Full Screen Edition
The only version that is not yet available for pre order is the two disk Blu-ray extravaganza. I am unsure why.
I imagine this film will soon shatter the Blu-ray accomplishments of Iron Man. This is a film that I can see many people wanting to have for their own, I expect ridiculous sales the first weekend on the shelf. International friends – how many of you plan to get a copy and which version tickles your fancy?

widescreen single edition for me.
I had the two-disc Batman Begins one, but the cover on TDK’s special edition is wack.
To be honest, i’m a bit dissapointed with the special features. There seems to be very little behind the scene documentary stuff that we haven’t seen before. I’m sure the Iron Man DVD blows it away in that respect.
Having said that, being able to see the IMAX scenes in full screen and including the Gotham Tonight segments is great; i loved those.
Still w/o a Blu-Ray deck, the special “regular” version will be my sought after item on the week of release–oh HELL YEA!!!! I know, way too subtle and laid back!
Two disc blu-ray is the way to go for sure. Plan to pick up on the day it’s released.
full screen is cheapist, i’ll get that. Ive seen it 3 times so far, so i can’t wait for the DVD!
I want the most expensive, most belly-packed version.
So, let me get this straight. It says that the blueray edition will allow you to see the movie the way it was seen in IMAX theaters. How is that possible? Does the letter box just switch to fill up the whole screen?? That would be crazy awesome! I’m gonna buy a hundred copies and make a dark knight dvd suit out of them; and wear it to work and other public places.
The reason why there are such little extras on this dvd is because Chris Nolan puts everything he shoots into the film. He doesn’t waist film shooting scenes that aren’t gonna make it into the final cut. Look at all his films’ dvd’s: there aren’t that many extras on them. An interview with Ledger on set would be awesome. That’s about the only extra I need.
Doug and John, can you guys do a DVD commentary for ‘The Dark Knight’? That would be sweet!
2 disk dvd version is what im getting, however if there was a version with more than 2 disks id get that,,,,,
2 disc special edition widescreen!! i’ll get it as soon as it’s available!!
1080 rip is the way to go.
2-disc special edition.
And I don’t care if FOOLscreen is cheaper, you should never, ever get a film in fullscreen. It’s cheaper for a reason. Because it’s SHIT.
There is going to be a 2-disc Blu-Ray edition? I think it would be possible for them to fit all the extras and movie on one disc.
I was wrong. Just get the standard edition Blu-Ray. The limited edition version is just the regular edition with a snazzy case.
Hell yeah, 2-disc special edition wide screen. Although, next year I’m going Blu-Ray so I wonder if I should wait.
And yeah you and John should do a commentary for TDK. That would be awesomeness!
They shouldn’t even release this movie or any movie in Full Screen.
Two-Disc for me
Blu-ray for me
2 disk blu-ray edition for me… And hopefully, with the joker on the cover!
