@Henrik
Can't wait for 28 Years Later!
Haven't seen any movie from this franchise but at least they got a clever way to increment on their sequels.

I loved both 28s, although the first was the better of the two. I don't mind a third film, Fox has a cash cow, might as well give the masses another serving. In layman's terms, the announcement of 28 Months isn't a shock. Low budget well made genre flicks make quick money...there you go.

I have not seen The Cottage. I haven't seen London to Brighton. I'm sure this guy at the helm is fine. I don't see a problem here. Just because (as a film watcher) I haven't seen a director's previous films does not mean he isn't the right guy. Maybe folks like me will hunt down these films before or after 28 Months is made.

My other question is: if John doesn't care, why should he care?

The Cottage was not great but If you can get hold of a copy of London to Brighton I would greatly recommend it.

Leave Boyle out of this, he has nothig to do with the franchise!

John,

"more of the exact same" doesn't give an automatic reason to not make a movie. Maybe in a particular franchise but definitely not in a whole subcategory of movies like zombie movies. There are tons of movies out there that have the same basic story, same basic action, same basic comedy yet we like them none the less. I wouldn't say that I'm a zombie movie fanatic but I've liked them.

I just went to see Eagle Eye last night and it was nothing new but enjoyable, just like Die Hard 4.

I love 28 Days Later and i thought the sequel crapped all over it. The only good thing about 28 Weeks Later was the musical score from the firs tfilm.
