Bulgaria

We have news of a new crime drama starring Val Kilmer titled Fake Identity. We get the scoop from our friends at comingsoon:

The film is directed by Dennis Dimster-Denk and written by Dimster-Denk and Dimbort. “Fake” will begin filming Sept. 30 at the company’s Nu Boyana Film Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. The story centers on an American doctor working in Chechnya whose life takes a deadly turn when he helps a mysterious woman escape from her would-be assailant.

Bulgaria! Fabled land of domestication, where sheep can often be seen playing cards with the townsfolk, and wolves willingly let themselves be milked during sunrise. I have no love for crime dramas, but I am certainly interested in seeing more of the mysterious Bulgaria on the silver screen. I don’t know why the film has to be set in Chechnya when Bulgaria is serving up all the goods we need. Let Bulgaria get the credit.

As an aside, whenever you meet a mysterious woman with problems – never help out, unless you want your share of them.
