Sarah Jessica Parker-1

SJP’s Spinning Like Butter has been picked up and is getting ready for release. We get the details thanks to our friends at the movieweb:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Screen Media Films has picked up Parker’s Spinning Like Butter, which she starred in and produced for North American distribution. The story revolves around Parker’s character, a dean of a liberal New England college who has to deal with racial issues when one of her black students starts to receive threats.

The film will be released in early 2009, debuting in New York, Los Angeles and five other markets, with an expansion strategy to be determined after that initial rollout.

I welcome this role for Parker. She looks like a lean, mean, take no guff dean and I’m sure that in the right power-suit she will pull off the role very well. I’m not a fan of Sex In The City, but have no problem with parker. In fact, her severed head courtship of Pierce Brosnan (in Mars Attacks) scores highly on my greatest film romances of all time.

If any of you have caught Spinning Like Butter at any of the festivals – please let us know what you think. We will be sure to catch the pic when it comes to LA and give you a heads up before it hits wide release.

She is the most weird female celeb for me at least. In no way ugly but not the least bit sexy either.

This pic is a bit of an exception but Kristina said, you can barely see her face :)
