I read Randy Arrington's book "Kerosene Cowboys" this past weekend. I just couldn't put it down. My husband who is a Navy F-18 pilot will be home in 3 months and I can't wait for him to read it as well. The novel made me laugh, and cry and get pissed at times, but it was all great fun. Mario will undoubtedly make a fabulous flick called Kerosene Cowboys.

My young son and I recently met Randy Arrington at a book signing in San Diego. I must confess that this soon-to-be celebrity author was a real pleasure to speak with. Not something I was expecting from a former Navy pilot who used to land jets on the pitching deck of an aircraft carrier at night. Arrington is a stunningly handsome man, but likewise he is a very down to earth human being who is obviously quite at ease while interacting with the general public. His sense of humility about the success of his book and the upcoming movie based on his novel was, in a word, refreshing and I am glad my son was there to witness his demeanor. I highly recommend picking up a copy of his novel “Kerosene Cowboys: Manning the Spare.” It is simply a brilliant and extremely entertaining piece of contemporary writing. My son Derek and I can’t wait to see the movie and all of Arrington’s incredible characters up on the silver screen.
