David Spade Lands Lead In Divorced Guys

Recently announced baby daddy David Spade is set to star in Divorced Guys. The name says it all and we get the scoop from our friends at the movieweb:

David Spade will star in The House Bunny director Fred Wolf’s next writing and directing project, titled Divorced Guys for Wind Dancer Films.

According to Variety, Wolf, Spade and Kevin Farley wrote the story about a group of divorced guys who go on a road trip to figure out why their marriages failed and stumble into a series of comic mishaps.

I enjoy the comedic stylings of David Spade. I prefer his stand up over his film work, but don’t mind seeing him attached to a comedy. Given the right role he has the ability to kill it. I think a road story about divorced guys could be good, but I would much prefer a solo film about a freshly divorced Spade. The guy is as snarky as they come and I would love to see a showdown scene in court between him and his ex wife. I think Spade would hurl insult that would ring true with divorcees across the globe, resulting in many laughs.

I just hope the hilarity isn’t bogged down in the life lessons.
