Cheech Set To Direct Angel of Oxnard

Cheech is back in the directors chair and set to bring us a film about a very peculiar occurrence. We get the following scoop from our friends at the movieweb:

Cheech Marin is set to direct and star in the dramedy Angel of Oxnard for HighRoad Entertainment.

Marin wrote the screenplay which centers on Angel Mejias (Marin), the voice of Oxnard’s version of the Home Shopping Network, who finds himself in the middle of a worldwide media storm when his face appears on a tortilla. Angel of Oxnard marks Marin’s first directing gig in more than 15 years.

Cheech’s face shows up in a tortilla and mayhem ensues! Only Cheech could make this awesome and I’m glad he’s at the helm. This certainly sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but if Cheech delivers the goods I will worship at the Altar of Oxnard and proclaim my devotion to the winds!

With news of a new comedy tour with Chong, and a new outlandish film on deck – we’ ll soon be able to fill our tanks with Cheech. They have been too dry for too long.
