Witches of Eastwick inspires TV Pilot

Not my favourite Witch movie, but its up there (not a lot of them really) The Witches of Eastwick is being tagged as the basis to a new TV series.

MovieWeb says:

ABC has cast a pilot order for a new series based on The Witches of Eastwick to be written by Maggie Friedman (Dawson’s Creek).

The movie, The Witches of Eastwick, which starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer, was based on the John Updike novel about three women who turn to witchcraft after losing (or booting) the men in their lives. They conjure up a devil-like character, who then proceeds to seduce all three of them.

I wonder just how much Dawson’s creek we will see in this. Will it be more like The Hills meets Charmed?

Who could you imagine reprising these desperate housewives turned witches in a TV series?

TV series based on the Witches of Eastwick? I’m there. That’d be hilarious. Charmed had little sense of humor anyway.
