Of all the features listed; I am most excited about the digital copy of the movie that comes in addition to the player version. This is handy for those that want to bring the movie with them on a hard drive, or play it on their Ipod. When I first heard that they were planning to do this, I was quite pleased and it’s cool to now see it featured on the disks.

I also look forward to seeing Ed Norton talk about the Hulk so I can get a peek into his thoughts and make the connections between them, and the story of the film. Hearing him talk about the character may also reveal clues about how he will proceed with the Hulk from this point forward.

Nothing else gets me too jazzed, but then again, I’m not big on special features. Sometimes I enjoy noodling through them, but more often than not – I have no interest. For those of you that are fans of special features – is there anything listed that you are interested in laying your eyes upon?

  1. I’m a little sceptical of the digital copy. Does anyone know what the resolution and sound quality of the digital copy will be? And will they want to install anything on your computer? What will the DRM be like on these digital copies?

  2. I love lots of extra features and especially commentaries but I was under the impression that there was a lot of footage that would be added back into the movie for an extended cut. If not, this is disappointing.

  3. has anyone just rented the blu ray and saved a few bucks and just bought the regular hi-def? how many times is a person going to watch all the extra features? I learned my lesson, i don’t get sucked in so easily anymore. i’m keeping my money in my pocket. if i really want to see the features, i’ll rent it somewhere cheap. the only thing that i like extra on my dvds are deleted scenes and bloopers, if there are any. other than that i don’t think i’ve even watched any of my other dvds with the commentating on.
    peace

  5. bruce banner has a monster living inside of him, & that keeps him from the women he loves. hes living in Brazil & has to constantly be looking over his shoulder because the U.S. army is after him.

how could that not be a dark story?
the theatrical version was disappointing, i was hopeing TIH would be something like batman begins. hopefully the ed norton cut can redeem it

  6. Is the ‘Deleted Scenes’ the 70mins of extra footage that we were supposedly going to be getting? Doesn’t seem like it at all. And of course those 70 mins would’ve been better served in an actual director’s or ‘Norton’ cut. I’d much rather a disc be devoted to a different cut than this useless digital copy BS. For a start, they’re never in ipod format and If i did want a copy for my ipod, i’ll just convert it myself thank you very much. Digital copies (usually a whole disc unto themselves) are among the most useless of special features.

  7. It’s not so much about being “darker” as it IS supposed to be a better more character driven story. Apparently the focus of this film was to be more aligned with Kenneth Johnson’s television series. That fact is evident by the trailer as well as the TV theme music being used throughout the film. I for one cannot understand why the theatrical cut is the only version featured on this release? There was way too much information about this when the movie came out for Universal not to include it.

  8. “Darker and more Charactor driven”? Whats wrong with you people?? Why must every movie be dark and brooding. The TV show was depressing enough, Hulk comics were never like that.
I hope they show the mountain snow scene that was quickly shown in the trailer where Banner supposedly finds Cap or Caps shield.

  9. Damn! when i first saw that image of the cover a week or two ago, I thought that having 3 discs might include the Letterier/Norton cut, with the 3rd disc reserved for special features. I enjoyed the movie, butt it’s glaringly obvious from watching the released theatrical version that some rather harsh cuts wre made at the last minute. I’m rather disappointed in Universal. Fuck it! I’ma hold out for the inevitable super duder deluxe version 3-6 months down the track. Looks like Iron Man & Wanted will be the only ones I’ll be rushing out to buy in the next couple of months..

  10. No shit. There was so much controversy over the other cuts of this film and it looks like the Blu-Ray is going to include none of it! So I will probably just hold out till they eventually put out the alternate cuts.

  11. Where the hell is all the footage that was cut from this film? More than anything I want to see the movie as it was intended. I’m not going to forgive them if they just include the theatrical cut on a 50+ GIG Blu-Ray disc! I don’t give a fuck about lame bonus filler that I will only watch one time. Come on directors cut! Come on Norton cut!

  12. A digital copy of the movie on the disc is an awesome feature.
That should become a standard feature to include in all DVDs.
This is how you treat your honest and loyal costumers! Well Done!

  13. i want to see the deleted scene where abomination blasts out of the compartment the army puts him in and teams up with whatever bad guy well see in thor or captain america

    huh? huh? yeeeeeeaaahhh….

  14. I am very surprised that they are putting an iPod compatible digital copy. Usually only supports windows. I am def getting the blu ray, I love all the making of features!
