There were a few sections that scared and a few that left you appalled but the worst part of all was the ending. These days people are so worried about leaving the ending open for a squeal that they fail to wrap the movie at a place where it makes sense. This movie clearly makes it seem as if Ben has killed the demon and that everything is back to normal. The fact that all the mirrors shatter leads us to believe this. Then when we clearly see that he is stuck in the mirror it contradicts what we all come to believe. In my opinion it was a poorly written ending that makes little to no sense. In a few parts it seemed as if the actors didn't no what they were doing and i bet there were a lot of retakes. Some jumpy bits but not that scary.... However i think the twist was interesting and if it didnt have that in it, then I would of thought it was predictable, but it could suggest a possible movie to follow it, which would be good. I didn't see the actual Asian version and I'm not a fan of Hollywood remaking Asian films as they usually don't do the original piece justice. I personally liked the ending as it gave it something different rather than the hero survives. I would rate it 7/10. Provided me with a few scares and it was an unexpected ending. The movies are flashier, shinier, and have better visual effects but the heart is gone. It's like for some reason the need for a plot is no longer a requirement.
