Lost Boys 3 – Corey vs Corey
Back when we were just talking about The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, Corey Feldman had hinted there would be a third and now we are catching wind that they are in fact moving in that direction.
there will definitely be more Sam and Alan in Lost Boys 3 (yep, seems they’re thinking about it already). Feldman, Haim and Newlander will be the stars of the next chapter. The finale of Lost Boys: The Tribe sets the next film up, signaling a possible Corey vs. Corey outing next time around, and that’s indeed what we’re going to get… As of today anyway. And yes, Jamison Newlander will be back as Alan Frog – and not just for a deleted ending on the disc.”
The interesting thing about this news is that it actually makes me want to see Lost Boys 2: The Tribe.
After seeing Feldman in reality TV (Surreal Life-Two Coreys) I can say I was done with him as an actor. His only pure entertainment value came from chekcing out his insanely hot wife and struggling to take Feldman seriously. He is an oversensitive whiner, and his aspiring music career is laughable at best (you are chuckling at that tidbit too).
But it seems that the parts of the movie people liked was anything with Edgar Frog in it.
I kinda let this one slip past me. There was a time I was a little eager to see a return to this story (Vampires are suddenly the popular genre again) and then the excitement was fleeting and I didn’t even realize it was released last week.
I will have to rent it and see if it is worthwhile. And to see this stinger clip that their proposed third movie will be based upon.
Corey vs Corey. How can that go wrong?

I’m going to say something that’s going to piss a lot of people off just because it’s the truth, but I promise there’s more people that think like me, or just totally wrote off the movie before they even saw it…but here it goes…
Lost boys the Tribe is a better and more entertaining flick than the first one.
There ya go. Don’t believe me? Watch it again, probably doesn’t hold up as much as it did when you were 10.
I’m all for a third one…bring it on.
I’m one of the few people that really enjoyed Lost Boys 2. Yeah, it could have been way better, but when you know about all the behind the scenes shit that happened, you can look past that.
Heavily looking forward to a third.
i loved it, though i still think the first one is far better for the style and music. that ending pissed me off, i wanted that story for this sequel, so bring on the third asap.
Lost Boys: The Tribe was awful. I saw it at comic con. Almost walked out after the first scene. Some people say the first one doesn’t hold up anymore but I still think it’s awesome. The only ok part about the sequel was Corey Feldman (he was funny).
eh you don’t lke it but walked out on the first scene? Ok.
I’m going to rent today probably. I’ll pick this up. This also intrigued me. How are they gonna be against eachother? Rival vampire hunters? Or is one a vampire now?
I’ll check it out even tho I’ve heard it is complete crap. But I’ll be the judge of that, my taste seems to differ from most. Like…I hate to say it….while I enjoyed the Dark Knight it is getting way to much praise….
Handle–
You definitely need to go get it. LIke I said, I thought it was better than the first…
Oh and I’m not going to spoil it for you as far as Corey vs Corey.
Tribe wasnt horrible. Coreys character was actually pretty lame. More interesting was Keifer Sutherlands half brother Angus playing the main character. And Autumn Reeser is hot.
There is no way I think The Tribe is more entertaining than Lost Boys; however The Tribe wasn’t as bad as I was expecting so I did enjoy it to a degree. I swear Corey Feldman seemed like he was doing a bad imitation of Rambo the Vampire Hunter. Yes, he was over the top in the first one, so I guess it sort of fits the older version of the character. All the same what was up with his smoker’s voice? LoL I’m gonna talk like I have gravel in my throat it makes me tougher.
I did like the villian vampires…they were entertaning especially Angus’ character as the lead vampire in the coven.
As for a 3rd movie – I say bring it! Just to see the two Coreys fight.
Handle, I said I “almost walked out after the first scene”. Almost . . . .
oh my bad. I was like..wtf you walked out on the first scene? How can you say you hated it?
hehe. I can’t stand people that go to movies and walk out halfway or after the movie is over and want their money back. No one forced you to go see the movie, you are an adult, deal with it.
/end rant. Last bit wasn’t directed at you…just me bitching in general.
I don’t know about the DTV sequel, I have yet to rent it, and I even liked, at one time, the promising star of director PJ Pesce (The Desperate Trail). However, there is one thing about this post that I do cringe at:
“Corey vs Corey. How can that go wrong?”
Should I really answer that question? (no)
Should you go to Vegas anytime soon? (no)
Or were you being sarcastic? (i hope so)
oh well it was all checked out :(.
(Type your comment here. Make sure you’ve read the commenting rules before doing so)I just watched lost boys 2 an hour ago. And,I have got to say it was great. It had good action and a fair amount of blood.Plus corey was actually really good. The ending with sam was a total tease.I hope the rumors of a 3rd movie are true.Sam and Edgar down to the last battle would be very cool.
so I’m guessing he is a vampire at the end?
I would really be excited for that movie if that is it. Straight to DVD or not….I don’t care.
Anyone here ever see the old Howard Stern channel 9 show?
There was a halarious episode with Corey Feldman breaking out as a new Rock superstar.
Howard made fun of the whole thing buy dressing up in a mini and singing “I’m too Sexy for my show”.
Fraken halarious.
Babba fuckin Booey.
Lost Boys – The Tribe was not nearly as bad as it should have been. Despite it’s O.C. makeover, it was kinda entertaining. The first Lost Boys is WAAAAY better though.
MY WORRY: Did you watch the 2 unused Corey vs. Corey scenes in the Extras section? Did you see HOW HORRIBLE Haim was? The man could not act his way out of a paper bag in those scenes. Now, the one they used for the “coda”, he did a pretty good job. But…wow…those deleted scenes make me nervous for the next movie. Which I WILL watch, regardless.
This is the way it works. The Tribe was set to go straight to DVD straight from the get go so it has nothing to do with the quality of the film itself. My theory at this point, after watching the movie today, is the third movie has been setup. Basically the third one will be what the second one shoulda been (now try to follow me here). The reason why I say this is because Warner Bros. wants to establish a larger following and by basically by remaking the first one (I’m sorry but at the end of the day thats what they did) so now The Tribe will grab a younger audience’s attention. This movie was worth watching just to see Haim and Feldman on screen again together, and when Warner Bros. realizes this then they’ll realize that the original audience will shit when the trailer’s for the 3rd one has Haim, Feldman and Newlander in it as Vampires! So basically now it all depends on Warner Bros. definition of success for their straight to DVD close to none promoting film, which can’t be much. If they think a younger audience will wanna see it because of LB2: The Tribe and the original audience will wanna see it because of Feldman, Haim and Newlander then to them that will equal success. Plus they’ll probably release it to the theaters. Lost Boys 2: The Tribe was all in all a way to test the audiences reaction, and depending on that there’s a very good chance it could happen. But maybe I’m giving Warner Bros. way too much credit, afterall they are the whole reason why Goonies 2 has been held up for so long (and yeah I think maybe The Tribe was a small test for that too… for christ sakes the Aunt in The Tribe held up the DVD. I mean come on! It’s kinda like saying “Hey younger dumbasses, if you haven’t seen one of the best movie’s ever go watch it so that when or if we spend money to make a second one you’ll wanna go see it!”). Oh and it also depends on if Haim completely fucked up his relationship with Warner Bros. If you don’t know what I mean then watch that episode of The Two Coreys when he all but ended his career on the Lost Boys 2 set.
The Lost Boys taught us all about vampires …. the tribe although it was not of the same caliber it was well inviting of it’s own right … I felt the clues left for us Lost Boy believers was clever and I am very much left in thirst for Lost Boys Three

I just saw the Lost Boys 2 and I have to say it was good, although they did leave it wide open for a 3rd, and I will say bring it on!! I would love to see what the 2 Corey’s do if they can get their acts together and grow up so that the 3rd can be made!! I am a big fan of the Corey’s and would love to see them back in action together again and I don’t think I’m alone there!
(Type your comment here. Make sure you’ve read the commenting rules before doing so) Feldman and Haim..bring it on I’m there.
I await the second coming of Haim. The guy deserves another (yes…ANOTHER) chance. To hell with the Haim haters, I want LB3!
this second one was ok….. but it didnt feel like a lost boys movie.
there was to much modern horror.. to much tits, and ppl saying fuck… none of that was in the first…
but yea ill watch the 3rd on just to see all of them back together!!
I just rented LB2 and i must say that although this is straight to dvd it was decent. Yeah there were some corny parts (like the love scene) but what movie doesnt. A part that was funny to me was at the begining when they had the rock singer from the first LB fat old and on the street corner dressed the same as if its still the 80s. For those that dont know watch the 1st movie then watch the 2nd. As for Corey vs. Corey hell yeah! Bring on LB3 there are alot of fans that want it. Just add the storyline as to why Edgar and Sam stopped being friends (its water under the bridge) maybe Edgar killed Micheal? Hmmm? Would that be a twist?
Personally I must say I will always love the first one more. The Tribe was ok, parts of it were good and those parts all had Feldman in them. Pushing aside his terrible voice acting, come on he doesn’t sound like that so why talk like that?
Anyhow, I only thought The Tribe was ok, nothing special. The Lost Boys however I thought was awesome. I don’t know, the first movie still has my vote and yes I just watched both of them and that is my opinion.
Kiefer I must say I thought was better then Angus. That’s my opinion though.
I’m all up for a 3rd, bring on the Corey vs Corey battle. That’s what I wanted to see…I wanted them to explain what actually happened to Haim’s character and Alan Frog. BRING ON THE THIRD!
for those of you who are truly concerned with what happened prior to the tribe taking place they released a 4 issue comic series title reign of frogs where it fills in the years between the two movies.
Hell Yeah, another Lost Boys movie I thought the original kicked ass, & then I bought The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, I honestly thought it was gonna suck, but it was actually pretty good, the stunts on it was amazing, so I’m looking forward to see what the third one’s gonna be like.
