Duchovny and Leoni to produce Born to Rock

David Duchovny and the tasty Tea Leoni have acquired the rights to a kid rock flick called “Born to Rock” and they hope to appeal to a cultural phenomenon in kid’s music lately.

Yahoo says:

the project revolves around a group of struggling, aging rock musicians. Because of a mix-up in their demo tape, they end up catching a record executive’s attention for a children’s song written on a lark, then find unlikely success as a Wiggles-type children’s band.

No word as to who might star in this yet, but I could see Duchovny in this unlikely rock band for kids role. The look on his face as a serious rocker type who finds out the label that wants to sign him is for kids would be worth the ticket price alone.

This does have a lot of crossover kid appeal as the whole Jack Black School of Rock thing (which I loved), so I instantly thought of him as the lead too.

Who do you think would make a great classic rocker turned Wiggles group??

David Duchovny and Jack Black just have different chemistry going on.

This sounds exciting, tho’ I can’t see David Duchovny taking a ‘singing’ role in the move. Tho’ he is a very talented man, I don’t think ‘singing’ is one of his talents… at all!

He also writes poetry in his trailer during shoots.
