I have seen people dis the poster but let’s disect it a little more. The endo pictured is a previous model to the T-800 chrome models we are used to seeing. This model looks to be made out of iron or metal composite. This model is probably the one Kyle Reese decribes as the T-600 with rubber skin. Take a good look at the eyes. The eyes have a heated filament in the that looks like a DNA helix. The film is, as someone decribed, a re-boot of the terminator franchise. Expect to see more than just the endos. If you do not follow the terminator universe, Skynet has more robots than just the endos, HK’s, and Tanks. This film will introduce new robots Cameron designed but never put in his film.
I understand if you felt T3 was a discrace to the franchise. BUT DO NOT JUDGE THIS FILM BASED OFF OF T3. Remember the Batman franchise went in the toilet and Batman Begins gave it a much needed tranfusion.
I expect Terminator Salvation to do the same thing.

T3 was crap, except for a few bits.

I’m amazed how many people hate McG, considering that he only made 3 movies. The first Charlie’s Angels was fun and exactly what it was supposed to be – what exactly were you expecting? The second one was indeed crap, nothing to argue about. And I haven’t seen We are Marshall, but it seems a decent flick based on the imdb rating (7.2) and the opinions I’ve read. Also, as a producer, basically everything he touches becomes a hit – Fastlane, The OC, Supernatural, Chuck. There are far worse people out there than McG (Boll? Anderson? Ratner?). So, haters, chill out. Get a life.

Also, the guy seems to know how to choose good people to work with. He placed Bale in the lead role. The script is written by Jonathan Nolan, the amazing writer who wrote Memento, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. So even if the direction won’t be the best, expect the movie to have a solid script and good performances. What more could you ask for? Give the guy a break.

Who did T3? It was decent. Bring them back. I like McG, but I hope he doesnt overdo the action with T4.

McG knows perfectly well that there are tons of people who hate him for some reason (mostly the name irritates them) so I’m pretty sure that he’s out to prove them wrong.
I’m also pretty sure he’s aware that the style he’s most known for does not fit a film like this.
It’s also very strange that people actually think that he would make a Terminator film like a cotton candy action film like Charlie’s Angels.
Silly people.

I think everyone should stop with all the McG hate until this thing comes out. Let’s give the guy a chance. I, for one, am very optimistic about this movie. Having Christian Bale attached really changed my opinion about it.

McG is a totally ridiculous name though and it doesn’t help his cause any.

you know, I don’t think the poster is supposed to be anything new in terms of concept. It’s almost paying homage to what the focal point of T1 and T2 were about. (I’m not saying it’s an amazing poster either though.)

I see no smile….where is the smile?! I think the jawline is tricking you into thinking there is a smile on that pretty face ;)

I don’t think McG is bad at all. “Charlie’s Angels” was meant to be incredibly corny and cheesy, and he pulled it off with hilarious results. I don’t get how anyone would expect something based on JiggleTV to be anymore serious than that.

I think he deserves the benefit of a doubt here. The internet’s always trashing this guy – I want to see him prove everyone wrong.

I’ve seen that endo somewhere?

The poster folk sure worked overtime to pull this one out of their creative ass’s.

Oh look a bullet hole between the eyes,,,, and the eyes still glow,, does this mean the T-600′s have small brains or that the fans do ? I’m confused and terrified at the horrific image of the endo skull’s metal smile ,,, Yaaawwnn!!! Burp !!

Anyone notice they seemed to have dropped the “The Future Begins” from the title?
