Magneto Script Reviews

Magneto

The good people over at cinematical have found out about 2 separate Magneto script reviews thanks to the good people over at IO9. Through these sources, I gladly pass the info onto you, my international friends. I will not go into any of the details of the script reviews – they spoil the film for me, so I refuse to read them.

For those of you that do have interest in reading the reviews, please journey over to Sal’s Scripts and Coventry Telegraph.

  1. Thanks for linking to my blog – I really want to see more X-Men movies so I’m hoping they find a way to go ahead with this. Some commenters on my blog have made excellent suggestions for alterations to the story, so it is less of a typical Nazi hunter movie. And Ian McKellen said just today he might be involved in it – i am hoping to speak to him at an X-Men trilogy screening tomorrow. i might take a copy of the script to wave at him!

You can see the new comments he made today at my blog here:

  2. @ Mozzerino… I liked HANNIBAL RISING. it wasn’t Silence of the Lambs and it didn’t have Hopkins, but it was entertaining to me… But I also agree it sounds like the same type of story… I like Magneto and was a big X-men fan growing up, but there are so many characters that I think after the 3 X movies they could have moved elsewhere… Does this mean I won’t see it or buy it on dvd? Absolutely not! I’m a sucker, so I’m cool with the Magneto movie at this point.

  3. I have read the first review and does anyone here agree with me that the storyline sounds a hell of a lot like HANNIBAL RISING?
That is not a good thing by the way.

  4. I thought that couple in the comic panel were the Howell’s from Gilligan’s Island. Was Magneto a guest star with the Harlem Globetrotters?

  5. I generally frown on these things; who knows what draft was read. It may or may not be “the movie”. I also would like to actually read it myself to form an opinion.

But the more I hear the more I think the project might stall out in the long run.

  6. McKellan might do a small part in the film. It is based around him at a younger point in his life, so they will be casting a younger actor for the core part of the movie.
